Southeastern Economic Development Corporation, Board of Directors


To promote economic development and revitalization in the Southeast San Diego area. To provide economic development services and make recommendations concerning redevelopment plans and project areas.


Seven (7) members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by City Council.
One (1) member appointed by the Mayor. One (1) member appointed by the City Council.


Three (3) year staggered terms for a maximum of six (6) years and until a successor is appointed and qualified. The expiration date of all terms shall be May 25; however, not more than three terms shall expire in any year.


Composed of nine (9) members. At all times a minimum of two (2) directors shall have relevant experience in finance, real estate law, economic development, redevelopment or urban design as much experience is determined by the board.

Each member is prohibited from engaging in any activity which could result in conflict of interest and must make an annual statement of financial disclosure.
