Citywide Economic Development Support
The city's Citywide Economic Development Support (CEDS) program provides Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) funds through a merit based application process, to qualified nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations that produce programs and events that improve the City's economy by boosting tourism and attracting industry on a citywide basis.
The general requirements and conditions for the allocation of TOT funding for the CEDS Program are outlined in City Council Policy 100-03.
In general the CEDS application will be made available in January. The applications are reviewed and recommendations are submitted as part of the annual budget. City Council typically will consider the recommendations during the City Council Budget Hearings. Recommendations are considered finalized when the City's annual Appropriation Ordinance is adopted typically in July.
