About December Nights

Balboa Park December Nights is San Diego’s largest free festival with more than 350,000 guests. During the two-day event, guests enjoy artistic performances, feast on delicious and diverse culinary treats and experience Balboa Park museums during early evening hours, free of charge.

  • Friday, Dec. 7, 3 p.m. - 11 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 8, Noon - 11p.m.

Vendor Pre-Application Process

The popularity of December Nights resulted in more vendor interest for the 2017 event than any previous year. Due to possible construction in Balboa Park and limited space combined with the goal of reducing the number of similar vendors, the Vendor Pre-Application process has been established.

Plans for the 2018 event include, increasing the diverse array of culinary delights and highlighting unique or specialty merchandise. To be considered for the 2018 event, please complete the Vendor Pre-Application form below. Submission of the Vendor Pre-Application does not guarantee acceptance.

Vendor Notification Process

The Vendor Coordinator will notify vendors of acceptance during the summer months of 2018. All selected vendors will be required to complete the Vendor Registration Package which includes location, cost and payment information, vendor rules, insurance, permit and license requirements.
