Cortez Hill Family Center
The Cortez Hill Family Shelter is one of the only three residential programs for homeless families in the City of San Diego. Additionally, the Cortez Hill Family Shelter is the only homeless program in San Diego County that keeps homeless families together, providing 45 families with individual apartment-style housing at one time. The City-owned downtown facility is located in downtown San Diego's Cortez Hill neighborhood and is operated by YWCA of San Diego County. Families can stay up to 120 days and receive services such as case management, counseling, legal assistance, career development, financial literacy, children's services, and transportation assistance.
