Chris Ojeda joined the Office of the Independent Budget Analyst (IBA) in October 2011 as a Fiscal & Policy Analyst. Prior to joining the IBA, Chris was a Supervising Economist with the City’s Public Utilities Department, where he was responsible for calculating water and recycled water rates, including researching alternative rate structures and undertaking pricing and feasibility studies.
An employee with the City since 2002, Chris has also worked in the Debt Management Department, where he participated in several types of public debt issuances including Certificates of Participation, Lease Revenue Bonds, and Tobacco Settlement Asset Backed Bonds.
Chris has a Masters degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from San Diego State University and a Bachelors degree in Economics from Cal State San Marcos.
