IT Sourcing

The following IT services are provided to the City of San Diego by vendors selected through the IT Sourcing Strategy process:


March 2011 The City adopted the PDF icon Final IT Sourcing Strategy Report made during a PDF icon presentation to the full City Council.
April 2011 The City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for IT Services, with proposals due in June 2011.
September 2011 Eight valid proposals were evaluated and rated, four finalist firms submitted their Best and Final Offer (BAFO) proposals.
November-December 2011 The City made selections to award contracts.
May 14, 2012 The City Council approved two outsourcing contracts for IT services - (1) with Atos IT Solutions & Services, Inc. for Data Center Services and Service Desk & Desktop Support Services, and (2) with CGI Technologies & Solutions, Inc. for Application Development & Maintenance Services.
June 25, 2012 The City Council approved a third outsourcing contract with Xerox State & Local Solutions, Inc. for Data Network Services, Voice Network Services, and future Converged Data Network & Voice Communication Services.
