Faulconer, Roberts Join SDG&E to Offer Emergency Preparedness Resources Ahead of Next El Niño Storm

Regional Leaders Remind Residents of What Actions They Can Take to be Prepared

Monday, January 11, 2016 - NEWS RELEASE

San Diego, CA – With continued rainy weather expected from El Niño, Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer and County Supervisor Chairman Ron Roberts joined with SDG&E today to remind San Diegans to prepare their homes, families and businesses for the storms that are coming.

The first round of El Niño storms hit the San Diego region last week, resulting in heavy rains, hail and flash floods. Meteorologists are predicting that future storms could lead to even more severe weather.

After months of planning for these intense storms, regional first responders worked diligently to minimize the damage from last week’s rains and reminded residents today of the resources available and what actions they should be taking.
