San Diego, CA – Continuing his pledge to build One San Diego and bring opportunities to every community, Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer joined the San Diego Workforce Partnership to host his first San Diego Opportunity Expo, a free public event, which brought together over 35 employers, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations and other opportunities for San Diego residents at the Mid-City Gymnasium.

Mayor Faulconer organized this career expo to help provide employment opportunities for San Diego residents looking for job training to entry-level positions in public safety, technology, skilled trades and other careers in innovation. At the expo, the San Diego Workforce Partnership helped attendees improve their resumes and conduct mock interviews. Several local community colleges and universities also attended to share educational resources and opportunities for those interested in obtaining new skills or a college degree.
