San Diego, CA – In honor of the service and dedication of the late District Four City Councilmember Charles Lewis III, Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer joined several local officials and community leaders in a joyous celebration of his life at the opening of a new City Heights community park at 4751 Home Avenue.

The new 5.86 acre park space is named after Councilmember Lewis, who was a strong advocate for City Heights and recognized for implementing a graffiti control program as well as numerous tree planting beautification projects throughout the district. The park is divided into 1.86 acres of developed park space and 4 acres of protected natural parkland along a canyon hillside.
