Mayor Joins Urban League Leadership to Celebrate MLK Day
Monday, January 18, 2016 - NEWS RELEASE
San Diego – Building on his State of the City pledge to usher in a new era of collaboration and prosperity for all San Diego residents, Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer joined the Urban League of San Diego County (ULSDC) Board of Directors, leadership and staff to celebrate the opening of their new administrative offices at 4305 University Avenue in the Price Charities Building on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
As millions across America and the City of San Diego celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King and his contribution to civil rights, ULSDC opened a new chapter in its distinguished civil rights history. The new offices are the actualization of the Board’s re-envisioning of Urban League of San Diego County service delivery system infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of our constituents, funders and the general community. Working collaboratively with community partners, other nonprofits and leading local institutions, ULSDC is sharing financial resources and moving service delivery closer to where residents live and work.
