Mayor Shows Support for One of the Fastest Growing Industries in San Diego

San Diego, CA – Recognizing that cyber security provides a $1.5 billion total economic impact and 13,000 jobs to the San Diego region, Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer and other local Members of Congress welcomed officials from the White House National Security Council, U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) to San Diego’s primer cyber security event hosted by the Cyber Center of Excellence (CCOE).
Coinciding with the National Cyber Security Awareness Month, the CCOE event involved many of the nation’s top security leaders and addressed America’s highest cyber security priorities, including protecting critical infrastructure entities from attacks and the Internet of Things, (IoT) which is the ability of computing devices to transfer data within the existing Internet infrastructure.
