San Diego, CA – In honor of a fallen San Diego hero, Mayor Faulconer joined Councilmember Myrtle Cole, Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman and Parks & Recreation Director Herman Parker to rename Skyview Neighborhood Park and unveil a park monument dedicated to the late San Diego Police Officer Christopher Wilson.

Officer Christopher Wilson served with the San Diego Police Department Southeastern Division for 17 years. While serving with the department, Chris was selected to serve on the SWAT team. On October 27, 2010 while assisting the U.S. Marshalls Service and the San Diego County Probation Department arrest a wanted felon at a Skyline apartment, the 50-year-old father of two was fatally shot.
