Mayor Faulconer Promotes San Diego Neighborhood Solidarity at National Night Out

San Diego, CA – At a community fair that brings together residents, law enforcement and community groups, Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer attended and promoted the 32nd Annual National Night Out to help strengthen neighborhood ties across the city.
National Night Out is a nationwide annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. This year, 37 million people are expected to participate in National Night Out crime prevention block parties, cookouts and meetings in all U.S. states, territories and military bases around the world. In San Diego, Mayor Faulconer and representatives from more than 70 city, county, state, federal and nonprofit organizations worked with residents to increase participation in crime and drug prevention programs at the South Bay Recreation Center.
