Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer
A healthy community and a clean environment are part of San Diego’s DNA. People deserve clean public spaces. We can’t allow litter in our communities, garbage on our sidewalks, or trash to line the San Diego River and our canyons.
In order to keep our city clean, safe and beautiful, Mayor Faulconer launched “Clean SD” in 2017 – an aggressive citywide campaign to remove public eyesores and clean up our communities. Streets and sidewalks are regularly washed and sanitized, graffiti removal requests are prioritized, and thousands of tons of trash have been removed from public spaces. Crews respond to requests to remove trash, debris and graffiti reported through the City’s Get It Done app.
