Mayors Praise New Skybridge Terminal That Will Serve 2 Million & Connect San Diego to Tijuana International Airport

San Diego – San Diego Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer and Tijuana Mayor Jorge Astiazarán celebrated the grand opening of an unprecedented border crossing, the Cross Border Xpress, which will connect San Diego directly into Tijuana International Airport.
Cross Border Xpress (CBX) is an enclosed pedestrian toll skywalk for ticketed Tijuana Airport (TIJ) passengers crossing the U.S./Mexico border. Spanning 390 feet, CBX is a short five minute walk that connects San Diego and TIJ, serving more than two million annual passengers who cross the border as part of their travels. Users of the bridge can access more than 30 destinations within Mexico that TIJ offers, including direct flights to Shanghai.
