Accessible On-Street Parking
Disabled persons parking zones, or blue zones (blue painted curbs), can be obtained for business districts, activity centers and residential areas. Contact the City's Traffic Engineering Division at 619-533-3126, or write to 1010 Second Ave., Suite 800, MS 609, San Diego, CA 92101 to obtain a request form.

Therapeutic Recreation
The City of San Diego Park & Recreation Department's Therapeutic Recreation Services (TRS) program provides sports, recreation, leisure, and outreach services to San Diegans with physical, mental and emotional disabilities.
READ/San Diego Adult Literacy Program
In San Diego County, approximately 422,000 adults cannot read and write well enough to meet everyday needs and pursue professional goals. The Library's READ/San Diego Adult Literacy Program is a free literacy service offering English as a Second Language and family literacy instruction for adults 18 years and older.
I CAN! Center
Library services for persons with disabilities are provided by the I CAN! Center. Basic services include: Print/Tape Media services, TTY/TDD reference service, Assistive Technology. The I CAN! Center is located on the first floor of the Central Library, next to the Literature Section.
Service Animals
Service animals, as defined by the federal Americans with Disabilities Act, are allowed to accompany people with disabilities in all areas where members of the public are allowed to go.
