Ellen Peneski is a Program Coordinator in the Performance & Analytics Department. Her primary focus is supporting the 311 Customer Experience Program, with an emphasis on knowledge management.
Ellen has experience across a broad spectrum of industries, such as education, software, healthcare, biotech, and financial. She has worked with organizations such as the San Diego Science Alliance, SAIC, Mitchell International, eChalk, Optimer Pharmaceuticals and LPL Financial. Ellen has over 15 years of knowledge management, organizational development, and change management expertise.
Among her accomplishments, Ellen wrote and produced a bilingual (English/Spanish) multi-media Knowledge Asset portal for ANXeBusiness (an SAIC subsidiary), served as a communications consultant for a $6.4 billion registered financial investment provider, and successfully built local customer service teams in six Latin American countries. Most recently Ellen served as Executive Director of the San Diego Science Alliance, a 20 year-old organization dedicated to the advancement of the STEM education-industry workforce pipeline. While there, she orchestrated a successful pre-merger turnaround and executed the handoff of programs and assets to a larger entity.
Ellen continues to support region-wide economic and workforce development by serving on various boards of directors including The Maritime Alliance Foundation, Partnerships in Environmental Progress and the San Diego EcosySTEM Leadership Team. She has a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin.
