On this website you will find information about how you can get involved and provide input in the planning process, as well as background information and technical documents.

Community Discussion Draft - Available

The Community Discussion Draft is a preliminary draft of the update to the Clairemont Community Plan. It consists of draft plan elements that have been revised and developed over the course of multiple meetings with the CPU Ad-Hoc Subcommittee. The purpose of this draft is to provide the Subcommittee and community stakeholders with a comprehensive understanding of the policies in the new plan and to provide input on the further refinement of the draft plan.

The CPU Ad-Hoc Subcommittee will be conducting their review of the Discussion Draft from January to March of 2020, after which staff will be making refinements to the draft and working with the Clairemont Community Planning Group to provide a Draft Community Plan by the summer.

The public is welcome to share and discuss their comments at each of the Ad-Hoc Subcommittee Meetings.  The Community Discussion Draft can be viewed at the Clairemont Engaged project website: https://www.clairemontplan.org/documents.

All comments on the Community Discussion Draft are due by March 6th, 2020 and can be forwarded to Marlon I. Pangilinan, Senior Planner at [email protected].

Clairemont CPU Ad-hoc Subcommittee Meetings

Meetings to discuss the various aspects of the Community Plan Update (CPU) are held by the Clairemont CPU Ad-hoc Subcommittee which is a subcommittee of the Clairemont Community Planning Group.  Meetings are open to the public and are held on the second Tuesday of the month from 6 to 8 p.m. at Alcott Elementary School Auditorium, 4680 Hidalgo Ave., San Diego, CA 92117. 

Since the start of the CPU process, that Ad-Hoc Subcommittee has held discussion on various CPU topics and provided input into the development of the community plan’s vision, plan element goals and policies, and the land use scenario.  The final meeting of the Ad-Hoc Subcommittee will be Tuesday, March 10, 2020.
