Old Town San Diego Community Plan Update
Old Town San Diego Community Plan June 2017 Draft
The June 2017 draft of the Old Town Community Plan has been developed from the 2015 discussion draft and incorporates input from the Old Town community and the City’s Planning Commission. It provides clear goals, policy direction and photo illustrations to ensure that future development is consistent with the character and architectural styles of Old Town while also contributing to citywide greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals. The draft community plan incorporates the architectural guidelines from the existing 1991 Community Plan and Architectural and Site Design Standards & Criteria.
Based on the June 2017 draft Community Plan, a revised draft of the Old Town Planned District Ordinance is being prepared. The Planning Department is also beginning environmental analysis of the draft Community Plan, with the goal of bringing the Community Plan Update and revised Planned District Ordinance to City Council for approval in Spring 2018.
