The Western Division serves the neighborhoods of Hillcrest, La Playa, Linda Vista, Loma Portal, Midtown, Midway District, Mission Hills, Mission Valley West, Morena, Ocean Beach, Old Town, Point Loma Heights, Roseville-Fleetridge, Sunset Cliffs, University Heights and Wooded Area.

Western Division serves a population of 129,709 people and encompasses 22.7 square miles.

Fingerprinting services are no longer available at San Diego Police facilities. Beginning July 1, 2005, the California Department of Justice requires that all applicant fingerprint submissions be transmitted electronically. Live Scan digital submissions provide the quickest way to submit and process fingerprint records. Complete the, then take it to any of the Live Scan sites listed on the California Attorney General's web site.

Vacation House Checks

Police volunteers can conduct a security check on your home while you are on vacation. To request this service contact Western Division.

"You Are Not Alone" YANA Checks

If you know someone who is elderly or disabled and also alone, police volunteers can stop by and check on these people regularly. To request this service, contact Western Division.
