Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and AED use. It is intended for healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentist, nurses, and respiratory therapist who must have a credential (Course Completion Card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course.
Course length: Approximately 6 hours with 2-10 minute breaks and an hour lunch break.
Presentation Format: The course is instructor led but, video based with active hands-on participation.
Student Materials: Each student receives a Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Student Manual.
Course Completion Card: Successfully completed students receive a BLS for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card which is valid for 2 years from date of course.
Course Fee: $80.00 per student.
Attendance Requirements: A minimum of 8 students is required is required for a course presented at a location with San Diego County. A maximum of 20 -24 students per class is in place in order to provide the best learning environment.
