New to the Stadium?

SDCCU Stadium is home to the San Diego State University Aztecs and the Holiday Bowl. The Stadium also hosts numerous special events, such as international soccer matches and concerts. This page will give you insider information to make your trip to SDCCU Stadium enjoyable.

Parking and Traffic

SDCCU Stadium has the largest parking lot in the City with nearly 19,000 spaces. However, access onto the site is limited to local roads such as Friars Road. There are no access ramps to or from freeways. Therefore, we encourage you to arrive at the Stadium at least three hours prior to the start of a sold out event. That may seem like an excessive amount of time, but the lots are usually full about two hours before a major event.  Our most frequent complaint from first time visitors is that they missed the start of an event because the parking lot was full.

If you can't make it to the Stadium early, we encourage you to use the Trolley which has a fully accessible stop just a few steps from the Stadium entrance gates.

We also have offsite parking for most sold out events. PDF icon Offsite parking, map and directions .

Finally, traffic on Interstate 15 north and south is often very congested prior to an event. Alternative access roads, maps and directions.

Attending an event at SDCCU Stadium should be fun for everyone. Here are a few things that you need to know before you get here:

An individual must be 21 years of age to buy alcoholic beverages and proof of age is required for everyone. There is a two-drink limit per order (some exceptions apply). Alcohol may not be brought into the Stadium or taken out of the Stadium.
  2. Tailgating: Tailgating is allowed ONLY in your own parking space. Persons who interfere or block other parking spaces may be cited by SDPD. 3. Search: All items and persons are subject to inspection upon entering the venue. Persons with prohibited items may be denied entry to the facility. To provide additional safety and security in the venue, guests will be asked to submit to a voluntary pat down procedure. Failure to submit to these inspection procedures will result in being denied entry to the venue.
