The City of San Diego has 57 electric vehicle charging stations (68 ports) at 15 locations to make charging more convenient for EV drivers. The locations include destination sites such as Balboa Park, other parks and recreation centers, libraries and entertainment districts. Please see the map below to see the locations that can help you plan your travels throughout the City.
In 2014, the City was awarded a $500,000 grant from the California Energy Commission to install 25 stations (36 ports) in nine locations. Each station features OpConnect Mark II Level 2 chargers in designated EV-only parking spots reserved for actively charging EVs. The maximum parking time in these designated spots is four hours.
