Faucett, who currently serves as Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer for the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, will join the Mayor’s Office on Monday, July 17, following Puetz’s departure on Friday, July 14.

San Diego – As visitors flock to San Diego for Memorial Day Weekend, Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer and Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman announced that San Diego remains one of the safest big cities in the nation after a new report shows that crime is at its lowest level in decades.

The report shows a 10 percent decrease in overall crime from January to April compared to the same period last year.

The news conference was the conclusion of a goodwill mission led by Visit California to highlight California’s close ties with Mexico. Mexico is California’s top market for tourism.
