About Barrio Logan

Barrio Logan comprises approximately 1,000 acres south of Downtown San Diego. The Port of San Diego and Naval Station San Diego cover more than half of the land area contained within the community planning area. Barrio Logan is one of the oldest and most culturally-rich urban neighborhoods in San Diego. From historic beginnings in the latter part of the 19th century to the vibrant mix of uses and people who reside and work in Barrio Logan, the neighborhood has played a vital role in the City’s development. 

Barrio Logan is in Council District 8.
