The City of San Diego requires permits for burglary, robbery, fire, and harmful gas alarm systems for both residential and commercial properties. Business Activity Permits
The following business activities requires a police permit. The San Diego Police Department's Police Permits and Licensing office is located at 1400 'E' Street, San Diego, CA 92101. Our business hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and our last application will be accepted at 4:30 p.m. The business telephone number is (619) 531-2250.
