HOW DO I SEND MY RESUME?
Resumes are not accepted on-line or as part of the application package. If you are called for an interview, bring your resume to the interview.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR POLICE RECRUIT?
For the Police Recruit examination, you do not submit an application in advance. You select one of the test dates listed on our website and then appear at the test site on that date. These exams are on a first come-first served basis. Prior to taking the Written Test, you will complete an application.

Since the Written Test and Physical Ability Test are typically administered over two consecutive days (generally Written Test on Friday and Physical Ability Test on Saturday), make sure that you are also available to take the physical Ability Test when you select your test date. For additional information about the position, minimum requirements, salary, testing process, and upcoming test dates, please call (619) 531-COPS .

HOW DO I TAKE A CIVIL SERVICE EXAM?
Examination requirements are different for each position. Read the "Screening Process" section of the job bulletin for testing information.

HOW DO I CHANGE MY ADDRESS?
Call (619) 236-6358 or (619) 236-6406 Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (if you are a City employee, contact your payroll clerk).

DO YOU PROVIDE SPECIAL TESTING FOR APPLICANTS WITH DISABILITIES?
Yes! Special test accommodations are available for persons with disabilities. For more information, or to receive appropriate instructions and forms, please call (619) 236-6358.

AM I STILL ON A TRANSFER LIST?
Call the Certification Section at (619) 236-6631 Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to determine which lists you are on.

HOW DO I VERIFY MY EMPLOYMENT STATUS?
