On October 6, Baker & Taylor, one of the largest suppliers of books to libraries, announced that it was ceasing operations. This unexpected decision affects thousands of library systems across the country that rely on their services, including San Diego Public Library. The San Diego Public Library is diligently working to set up accounts with new vendors and re-order all of the titles that were cancelled by Baker & Taylor. This transition will take time and will result in delays in getting print books into our library locations.
