San Diegans Invited to Free Fall Festival Events

It's the spooky season and the City of San Diego is inviting kids of all ages to enjoy fun, seasonal activities in the spirit of Halloween. Fall Festival events are planned at multiple recreation centers and parks throughout the city and promise a spooktacular time.

Activities include costume contests, outdoor movies, carnivals and lots of candy. Events are free to attend and scheduled nearly every day leading up to Oct. 31.

"As we approach Halloween, it is a great time for families to participate in these fun Fall Festival activities we have planned in neighborhoods across San Diego," said Andy Field, Director of the City's Parks and Recreation Department. "Our team has worked hard to provide a lineup of safe, family-friendly events for everyone to enjoy and we hope you will join us."

The City's Parks and Recreation Department manages more than 40,000 acres of park assets, including more than 400 parks, 26 miles of shoreline, 60 recreation centers, 14 pools, seven skate parks and three golf courses.
