Emergency Update

Crews have removed and hauled over 340 tons of debris from the project site and are now moving into the structural forming phase.

Project Description

The City's Stormwater Department's In-House Pipe Replacement crew is leading this project to replace a failed storm drain pipe and repair the associated slope failure along Del Mar Heights Road between Crest Way and Durango Drive.

Anticipated Schedule & Projected Budget

The project began in September 2026 and is expected to continue through January 2027, pending unforeseen circumstances.

Anticipated Work

• Construction to replace a failed storm drain pipe and repair the associated slope failure will take place along Del Mar Heights Road between Crest Way and Durango Drive.
• Work will take place Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Temporary lane closures and traffic control will be in place along Del Mar Heights Road during construction working hours, which may cause delays. Lane closures will be reduced after hours.
