The People’s Business – February 7, 2022

Councilmembers will consider they Mayor’s Housing Action Package known as Homes for All of Us.  This will include local housing programs and incentives, implementation of Senate Bill 9 and regulations on accessory dwelling units.

11 items fill the Consent Agenda.  They include continued declarations of local states of emergency and adopting a resolution to authorize teleconferenced public meetings.

Item S500 – Environmental Justice and Climate Equity Day recognizes that communities of concern are more likely to suffer negative effects of climate change and the inequity must be addressed.

Financial ReportItem S501 – Fiscal Year 2021 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (AFCR) – This item presents the Fiscal Year 2021 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and requests that the report be received by and filed with the City Council.  This is a report prepared annually by the Department of Finance that includes the financial statements of all funds of the City and its Component Units, including disclosures that complement the financial statements, statistical information, management’s discussion and analysis and other supplementary information.


 


Housing Action PackageItem 333 – Homes for All of Us: Housing Action Package Amendments to the Municipal Code and Local Coastal Program Amendments – The Housing Action Package is a part of the Homes for All of Us initiative. Through updates to the Land Development Code, the Housing Action Package aims to incentivize and promote new housing opportunities throughout the city that San Diegans of all income levels can afford.
