Monday’s City Council meeting is dedicated to the FY 2026 Budget. Mayor Gloria will attend the 2 p.m. City Council session presenting his May Revision of the Budget. The meeting includes a 6 p.m. session to give San Diego residents an opportunity to provide their comment on the budget after work hours.

Item 200 - Fiscal Year 2025 Third Quarter Budget Monitoring Report

The purpose of the Fiscal Year 2025 Third Quarter Budget Monitoring Report is to provide the City Council and the public with an update of revenues and expenditures for funds with budgeted personnel expenditures. The Department of Finance produces this report in collaboration with City departments and is developed using nine months of actual (unaudited) activity and projections for the remaining three months through fiscal year-end.

Item 201 - May Revision to the Fiscal Year 2026 Draft Budget

This is an informational presentation of the recommended revisions to the Fiscal Year 2026 Draft Budget.

The Department of Finance will present the Mayor’s recommended revisions to the Fiscal Year 2026 Draft Budget (May Revision). The May Revision reflects the most current projections of revenues and expenditures for the upcoming fiscal year and outlines the significant adjustments to the Fiscal Year 2026 Draft Budget based on these projections.

Non-agenda Public Comment will be heard at the end of the 2 p.m. session.

Item 202 - Public Hearing on the Fiscal Year 2026 Draft Budget and May Revision

The purpose of this item is to provide the public with an opportunity to testify about the Fiscal Year 2026 Draft Budget and May Revision at an evening meeting. In addition, this meeting provides an additional opportunity for Councilmembers to ask questions and make comments about the FY 2026 Draft Budget and May Revision. This is an informational item only.
