Consent Agenda
There are seven items on the Consent Agenda including accepting donations from the San Diego Parks Foundation and acceptance of a $1.5 million grant that will support wildfire prevention activities.

Item 331 – Appeal of Site Development Permit, Coastal Development Permit and Tentative Map – Project No. 1085883 – 8303 La Jolla Shores Drive
This item is an appeal of the Planning Commission's approval of a Coastal Development Permit, Site Development Permit, and Tentative Map, for the consolidation of three parcels into a single lot for subdivision into six lots with common access via a proposed private street from Calle Del Cielo, demolition of an existing single dwelling unit, and construction of a single-dwelling unit at each new lot (totaling six dwelling units), plus one accessory dwelling unit on Lot 6 at 8303 La Jolla Shores Drive.
The 4.45-acre project site includes three parcels (APN 346-250-08-00, APN 346-250-09-00, and APN 346 250-10-00), located at 8303 La Jolla Shores Drive, adjacent to and east of Calle Frescota and south of Calle del Cielo in the La Jolla Shores Planned District Single Family (LJSPD-SF) zone, Coastal Overlay zone (Non-Appealable Area 2), and Coastal Height Limit Overlay Zone within the La Jolla Community Plan. The site is previously developed with an existing single-family residence and attached garage, currently accessible via Calle Frescota westward to La Jolla Shores Drive.
Item S503 – Resolution Condemning the Trump Administration’s Attacks on Higher Education, and Affirming the City of San Diego’s Commitment to Protecting Higher Education from Political Interference.
This item would adopt a Resolution condemning political interference and attacks on institutions of higher education by the Trump Administration, including attempts to withhold federal funding to advance ideological political objectives, and affirming the City of San Diego’s commitment to protecting academic freedom, institutional independence, scientific research, diversity, equity, inclusion, freedom of speech, peaceful protest, and the rights and safety of students, faculty, researchers, and staff.
It would also direct the City Clerk to transmit copies of the Resolution to the Governor of California, California’s Congressional delegation, the President of the University of California system, the Chancellor of the California State University system, the Chancellor of the California Community Colleges system, local higher education institutions located within the City of San Diego, and other appropriate educational and governmental entities.
