The public is invited to a Special City Council Meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening to comment on the May Revision of the City of San Diego Budget for the coming year. The meeting was scheduled for the evening to allow for the maximum number of people to participate. This item was rescheduled from last week.

Item 600 - May Revision to the Fiscal Year 2027 Draft Budget and Public Hearing on the 2027 Draft Budget
The purpose of this item is to present the recommended revisions to the Fiscal Year 2027 Draft Budget (May Revision) and to provide the public with an opportunity to testify about the Fiscal Year FY 2027 Draft Budget and May Revision at an evening meeting
The May Revision reflects the most current projections of revenues and expenditures for the upcoming fiscal year and outlines the significant adjustments to the Fiscal Year 2027 Draft Budget based on these projections.
Following this meeting, the Office of the IBA’s final budget recommendations report will be issued on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. The Office of the IBA’s final FY 2027 budget recommendations will be discussed at the Budget Review Committee on Friday, June 5, 2026.
Final City Council decisions on the FY 2027 budget will take place on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Additionally, the City Council will review and approve the FY 2026 Third-Quarter Monitoring Report at that time.
