The People's Business - September 13, 2021

Councilmembers will hear one discussion item on the agenda.  It seeks several actions to allow development of housing on a former golf course property in Carmel Mountain Ranch.  The Council will address the consent agenda and non-agenda public comment at 10 a.m.  The discussion agenda will be heard at 2 p.m.

18 items fill the Consent Agenda.  They include legal settlements, second readings of previously passed items and conflict-of-interest waivers.

 

TierrasantaSix ceremonial proclamations will be presented to the council including Tierrasanta 50th Anniversary Day, Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month,  National Wildlife Day, San Diego-Vladivostok Sister City Day and San Diego Welcoming Week.  One proclamation honors a city employee for more than 37 years of dedicated service to the City San Diego, its residents and visitors with CaSandra Palmer-Thodile Day.

 

 

Trails CMR MapItem 330 - Trails at Carmel Mountain Ranch – Project No. 652519 - The Development Services Department presents the item seeking approval of all actions necessary for the redevelopment of a closed 18-hole golf course at 14050 Carmel Ridge Road.  The project allows for up to 1,200 multi-family residential dwelling units. Units will be produced for sale and rent, including 15 percent of the units constructed as deed-restricted affordable dwelling units.  The redevelopment will contain a mix of open space, recreation and community commercial uses within 17 Development Units to be developed in four phases.  The item would amend the general plan, introduce an ordinance for rezoning and approve permits, among other actions.
