Margaret serves as Communications Manager & Community Representative for Councilmember Campbell. In this role, she creates the Councilmember’s biweekly newsletter, manages her social media accounts, and handles press and media inquiries for the Councilmember. She also oversees constituent services for Point Loma and Midway residents.

Margaret was born and raised outside of Seattle, and she graduated from the University of San Diego with a B.A. in Communication Studies and Sociology. During college, she held an internship with the office of San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria, which she credits with helping her realize her passion for public service, and upon graduation she began working for State Assemblymember Tasha Boerner as a Field Representative. In this role, she handled constituent services for the cities of Carlsbad and Coronado, as well as Downtown San Diego and Point Loma/Midway. She advised on policy matters related to transportation and homelessness, and handled the Assemblymember’s external communications for six months.

Outside of work, Margaret enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors, reading, playing pickleball, and attempting to visit every restaurant in San Diego.
