Ada Liz Rodriguez brings more than two decades of experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and investigative oversight across military, government, and utility sectors. She currently serves as a Quality Assurance Project Manager, specializing in engineering programs, statewide compliance, and systems that support safety and reliability for diverse and vulnerable communities. Prior to her utility career, she worked as a Quality Assurance Auditor supporting Military Warfare Operations as a Department of Defense contractor.
A decorated U.S. Navy veteran, Ada served twelve years with distinction, earning the Humanitarian Service Medal and four Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals for exceptional performance and leadership. She holds both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Aeronautics from Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University, with a focus on Aviation Safety, and is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Change Management Specialist.
Ada’s commitment to leadership development and organizational culture is reflected in her community and workplace engagement. She is the Founding President of an Employee Resource Group dedicated to advancing accessibility, inclusion, and professional growth, and she actively supports initiatives that strengthen collaboration, equity, and institutional performance.
Her dedication to public service extends into the community. Ada is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) with Voices for Children, advocating for youth in the child welfare system, and she serves on the board of Friends of O’Farrell, Inc., helping expand educational opportunities for local students.
Born and raised in the Bronx to Dominican and Puerto Rican parents, Ada brings the resilience, cultural pride, and lived experience of her Afro‑Latina identity to every space she leads. San Diego has been her home for more than a decade, where she is raising her two children, Ava and Aidan, and continuing her lifelong commitment to service, integrity, and building stronger, more equitable systems for the community she serves.
