Manuel Reyes serves as a Senior Policy Advisor for Councilmember Jennifer Campbell. He is the Councilmember's public safety advisor, external appointments advisor, LGBTQ+ liaison, and oversees constituent services for Ocean Beach and Mission Bay.

Manuel attended UC San Diego's School of Global Policy and Strategy where he earned a Master of International Affairs in addition to a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. Additionally, he has completed the Young Professionals Council Academy at the San Diego LGBT Community Center and the Leadership Training Institute at The Chicano Federation of San Diego County. Manuel likes to stay involved in the community and serves on the Board of Directors for Casa de Luz San Diego, the Alumni Board at UC San Diego's International Studies Program, and he is also an active member of the San Diego Diplomacy Council.

Manuel was born and raised in San Diego. He is the son of Mexican immigrants from the avocado and carnitas capital of the world and home of the monarch butterfly, Michoacán. Manuel is proud of his upbringing and hopes to continue growing within the field of government.
