Saturday, December 14, 2024, 7:30 - 11am	San Diego Holiday Half Marathon December 14, 2024 The San Diego Holiday Half Marathon is a fast 13.1 mile course that starts on Penasquitos Drive and Carmel Mountain Road, then travels SW along Carmel Mountain Rd (your only real hill at mile 1.5), along the 56 bike path and finishes at the beautiful Torrey Pines State Beach (pictured above!). The race includes a 711-foot net elevation drop along the rolling downhill bike path, which also makes it a personal best candidate. The course heads west around the dog park and returns along the south side of the tennis courts. It then continues around the pool, across Joe Schloss way crossing Jacaranda and then heading up to the top of the hill and then down the dirt path along Upas Street. Then back across Jacaranda and then Joe Schloss Way. That loop is 1.5 miles. The loop is repeated a second time in which the runners then finish south of the pool and north of the soccer/baseball fields.

The course heads west around the dog park and returns along the south side of the tennis courts. It then continues around the pool, across Joe Schloss way crossing Jacaranda and then heading up to the top of the hill and then down the dirt path along Upas Street. Then back across Jacaranda and then Joe Schloss Way. That loop is 1.5 miles. The loop is repeated a second time in which the runners then finish south of the pool and north of the soccer/baseball fields.
