Sam Yung is a Program Coordinator in the Performance & Analytics Department. Her primary focus is supporting the 311 Customer Experience Program, with an emphasis on business processes.
Prior to coming the City of San Diego, Sam served as a performance coach for the City of Louisville’s Office of Performance Improvement & Innovation, where she planned, implemented, and managed both department and citywide performance improvement projects. In addition, Sam coached department leadership teams through the performance management system and trained city employees in the practical application of Six Sigma.
Sam graduated summa cum laude from the University of Louisville with a double major bachelor of arts degree in psychology and sociology. She also received her Master of Public Administration, Master of Urban Planning, and a Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development from the University of Louisville’s School of Urban and Public Affairs. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) as well as a practitioner and coach of Six Sigma Green Belt methodology.
