Join the 38th Annual Linda Vista Multi-Cultural Fair and Parade on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 10AM - 5PM on the 6900 Block of Linda Vista Road (between Comstock and Ulric Street)! Free and family-friendly for all ages to enjoy!

The Linda Vista Fair is the neighborhood's largest free multi-cultural celebration with 2 stages of live multi-cultural entertainment, a Carnival Zone, Kid's Zone, over 70 vendors, and so much more!

Started in 1985, the Linda Vista Multi-Cultural Fair and Parade is intended to promote cultural awareness and understanding within the City of San Diego. Its numerous cultural exhibits, varied ethnic food offerings and delightful artistic performances are eagerly anticipated by residents and visitors to San Diego.

La Jolla Mutt Strut 2023 is a community dog walk and an after-party that will take place on Saturday, May 13 at La Jolla Rec Center from 10 am to 12 noon. It is a fundraiser and all proceeds are donated to local animal charities. The "after-party" will consist of dog dress-up contests, dog adoptions, puppuccinos on site, and pet psychic readings.

The Balbao Park Pow Wow is a celebration of American Indian culture and heritage. Come join us for a wonderful weekend of American Indian drumming, singing and dancing as we gather for the 35th annual Balboa Park Pow Wow. Bring your camera to record the beauty of American Indian regalia as we dance to honor our past, celebrate today and preserve our culture for future generations. The Fiesta de los Penasquitos will return on Saturday, May 13th from 12PM-6PM. For over 25 years, the Fiesta has been a staple in the community; this year the sights, sounds and excitement will be back on Black Mountain Road, between Carmel Mountain Road and Twin Trails Drive. Come celebrate "Get Out There" highlighting the great outdoors including outdoor activities, businesses and lifestyles. Boasting a carnival zone, three stages of entertainment, food court and vendor booths selling their services and wares, there is something for everyone. This event is free to the public

What is the North Park Music Fest?

North Park Music Fest is an annual 2-day music, art, and food festival taking place in the heart of San Diego’s most eclectic neighborhood. From live bands to local food to craft beers, this is a party you won’t want to miss!

Where is the North Park Music Fest?

The North Park Music Fest will be held in the beautiful new North Park Mini Park and surrounding streets at 3812 29th St, San Diego, CA 92104.

When is the North Park Music Fest?

Join us for all the sounds, sips, food, and fun on Saturday, May 27th from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, May 28th from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. We will also be announcing special lead-up concerts at various North Park venues on Friday, May 26th and a panel discussion on the morning of Saturday, May 27th. How much do tickets cost?

Early-bird tickets will be $35 for a 1-day pass, and $50 for a 2-day pass. After April 1st, regular tickets will be $45 for a 1-day pass, and $60 for a 2-day pass. Last call tickets purchased the week of the event will be $55 for a 1-day pass, and $70 for a 2-day pass.

North Park Music Fest will have more diverse, mouth-watering food than you can shake a rolled taco at. Expect to find more than 15 incredible local food vendors on site and ready to satisfy your every culinary craving. Check back for a full list of vendors soon.

What about drinks?

From the latest lagers coming from beloved local brewers to hard kombucha and craft cocktails, there will be no shortage of alcoholic beverages to help put you in the dancing mood. If alcohol isn’t your thing, fear not! We will have plenty of non-alcoholic beverages on tap and a free water station as well.

What should I bring?

Late May in San Diego will likely mean sunny skies and warm temps, so be sure to bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and your most festive clothing (stop by one of North Park’s awesome vintage stores for inspo)! In an effort to reduce waste, we will also have one reusable cup for each ticket holder, so hang onto yours once you get it and be sure to bring it back with you on Sunday.

What should I leave at home?

Outside food and drinks are not allowed, and you cannot bring your reusable water bottle (as mentioned, we will have a reusable cup for you once you arrive). Please do not bring any weapons, fireworks, or bad vibes to the festival.

Can I bring my kids?

Please do! North Park Music Fest is a family-friendly event, and if your kiddos are under 12, they get in for free.

Can I bring my dog?

Fido is welcome to come rock out with you, as long as you keep him on a leash and pick up after him.

What if it rains?

This event is rain or shine, so keep an eye on the forecast and pack a light jacket if it’s looking drizzly.

What’s the parking situation?

Public street parking is available, in addition to a four-story public parking garage on 29th street. We will also have a bike valet provided by Bike SD, and rideshare apps like Lyft and Uber are always a good option. Please do not drive yourself to the event if you plan on drinking.

The House of Music presents "Festival del Caribe" a fundraiser to support our mission in providing music lessons and instruments to underserved youth in San Diego. You will enjoy a full day from 12pm-7m at NTC Park. The festival includes performances by: Los Van Van, Tipica 73, La Verdad, and direct from Miami DJ Melao and San Diego's own DJ Ukeim all playing Cuban and Salsa music. This community event is the perfect place to hang out with friends and meet new people before returning back to the busy work week.

We are welcoming back our favorite Halloween tradition, Trick-or-Treat on India Street! On Sunday, October 29th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Little ghouls and goblins of all ages are encouraged to dress up in their best costumes and enjoy an evening of authentic trick-or-treating with their families. Little witches and monsters will be able to stop door-to-door and get delicious Halloween treats and candy from participating Little Italy businesses along the historic India Street.

Maps of participating businesses will be available as the trick-or-treat fun happens at the Piazza della Famiglia on India and W. Date Street. You won’t want to miss out on this year’s fun!

We have asked our participating businesses to have staff that is passing out candy to wear a face covering and gloves as an additional safety precaution.

Since the event's inception in 2016, we have raised over $550,000 for the military, veterans, and their families with gifts and sponsored adoption fees for homeless pets at various rescue organizations!

Masks are not required for fully vaccinated individuals outdoors but are highly recommended. Please respect our guests and volunteers and plan on not attending if you are sick or have been sick within 14 days of the event date, you experience symptoms such as a fever of 100.4F/38C, cough, sore throat, or loss of taste/smell or have come in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID19. The 14th annual SoNo Fest & Chili Cook-Off is happening Sunday, December 3rd from 11am - 5pm on Thorn & 32nd Street in North Park! Taste chili made by 25+ local San Diego restaurants, listen to live music, enjoy local brews in the Beer Garden, bring the kids for fun in the Kids Zone, get your holiday shopping started and buy gifts from local handmade vendors, enjoy great food from food trucks, and more! 100% of the proceeds from this volunteer-operated event go to the kids at McKinley Elementary School!

Mid-City Community Advocacy Network (CAN), a non-profit organization based in City Heights, is excited to host Snowy Wonderland on Sunday, December 3rd from noon to 4 pm at the Sherman Heights Community Center! This free family holiday event will feature over 25 tons of real snow for children and families to enjoy.
