Street Food Festival
Join us on June 15th to celebrate, City Heights-style!
The fourth annual City Heights Street Food Fest will be a family-friendly evening of live art, music, drinks, games, and street food as diverse as City Heights. All registration/ticketing proceeds will be used to provide job assistance, food, housing, safer streets, and other critical support to the City Heights community.
Street food from many cultures around the world will be available for purchase, and your purchase supports sidewalk vendors as they battle unjust legislation that, until recently, made it virtually impossible to be a legally-recognized business. 44th Annual Ocean Beach Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off
Kick off summer at the 44th Annual OB Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in downtown Ocean Beach and along the waterfront parks. Thousands of locals and visitors enjoy an oceanfront Chili Cook-Off, an array of food and merchandise vendors, 2 stages of continuous music, the Community Mural Project, Artist Alley featuring local artisans, the beach side beer garden hosts attendees ages 21 +, a Seaside Family Fun Zone with inflatables and games for the whole family, tons of fun, and something for everyone!
Parking is available at the Sun Runner parking lot located on Seaworld Drive at Pacific Coast Highway. Trolley services will run from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. from parking lot to two drop off locations in Ocean Beach. Abrazo 5K Walk & 10K Run
Casa Familiars 2024 Abrazo 5K Walk + 10K Run: Healthier Communities
A key factor to enhancing quality of life means that our communities have access to the care, programs and resources they need to be well. This years Abrazo 5K & 10K fundraiser promotes healthier communities. The Abrazo 5K Walk + 10K Run is a course that will take participants along the San Ysidro-Tijuana border on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 7:30am to 11:00am. Check-in starts at 6:30am and the program will begin promptly at 7:00am.
Casa Familiar (Casa) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the mission of enhancing quality of life for people living in underserved and underrepresented communities. Proceeds from the Abrazo 5K Walk + 10K Run will support our Promotoras, Senior and Youth services.

East Village Block Party
Its time to play ball! Grab your family and friends and join the East Village Association for this years 13th Annual Opening Weekend Block Party in East Village. Taking place on J St from 7th to 10th Avenue in front of Petco Park, this event brings all that there is in East Village to the Block Party including local small businesses, live music and entertainment, tasty bites, beer and cocktails, local retail vendors, photo opportunities, a variety of fun family-friendly activities, and of course a celebration of East Villages very own San Diego Padres.
