Carissa Nash, MPA, CIA

PRINCIPAL PERFORMANCE AUDITOR

Carissa Nash joined the office in 2020 and was promoted to Principal Performance Auditor in 2022. She received the Association of Local Government Auditors’ Rising Star Award in 2025 and worked on two audits that received the association’s Knighton Award for audit excellence, SDPD’s Use and Management of Body Cameras and the City’s Major Building Acquisitions. Recently, she has led performance audits of the City’s Disaster Response and SDPD Overtime. Prior to joining the office, Carissa worked for the Texas Legislature’s Sunset Advisory Commission. Carissa is a Certified Internal Auditor and has a Master of Public Administration.
