FRAUD INVESTIGATOR

Usamah joined San Diego’s Office of the City Auditor in February of 2019. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, with a minor in Communication Studies, from the University of California, Davis. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from California State University, Chico. He has a diverse professional background, which includes experience in Government, Taxation, and Insurance. Notably, he has previous experience in tax compliance with the Internal Revenue Service where he served as a Revenue Officer gaining experience in tax enforcement, financial analysis, taxpayer education, and investigations.

Usamah holds a CFE credential and is an active member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
