Come out and join us with Chollas Lake Park - Park beautification project. We are working on little projects monthly that will lead to a bigger reward of enhancing our Chollas Lake Park.

History of Chollas Lake Park - San Diego
Chollas Lake Park, named after the chollas cactus, is a reservoir built in 1901 to serve San Diego's water supply. It was designated as youth fishing lake in 1971 and is the only youth-only fishing lake in San Diego County. The park offers a variety of activities for the whole family, including hiking trails, picnic shelters, and playgrounds. It is a hidden treasure in an urban community, providing a peaceful for relaxation and recreation.

Date and Time
Third Saturday of the month starting at 9:00am

Location
Meeting at Ranger shed located by the entrance of the park

Duties Include
Mulch spreading, trash pick-up, lake clean-up, brush management, habitat restoration, trail restoration and more

*Please note
- You are required to wear your volunteer staff shirt or yellow vest during your shift.
- Closed toe shoes and appropriate comfortable clothes. 
- Recommend bringing a water bottle, hat and sunscreen as the events are held outdoors.
- Check-in is required prior to starting your duty.
