Day of the Child Celebration

Volunteers Needed — Day of the Child Celebration!

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make our Day of the Child event a fun, safe, and memorable experience for families in our community! This is a great opportunity to give back, earn volunteer hours, and be part of a meaningful community celebration.

Event Date: Sunday, April 26, 2026
Event Location: Montgomery Waller Recreation Center
3020 Coronado Ave. San Diego, 92154

Volunteer Shifts Available:

Morning Setup Shift:
7:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Event Support Shift:
11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Full Day Option (Preferred):
7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Volunteers are welcome to sign up for one shift or stay for the full event!

Volunteers will be provided meals and scheduled breaks throughout the day.

Volunteer Duties Include:

• Event setup (tables, chairs, canopies)
• Assisting guests and families
• Running activity stations
• Supervising bounce houses
• Covering volunteer breaks
• Event breakdown and cleanup

This is a fantastic way to connect with the community, support families, and help create a joyful celebration for children of all ages.
