📖 Description:
Join an MTRP Trail Guide for a guided nature walk and discover the plants, animals, geology, history, and ecology of the park. Explore the park’s east side along the Grasslands Trail, leading to a Kumeyaay grinding rocks site and the scenic Old Mission Dam overlook.

The walk may also include visits to:

  • The lush riparian habitat of Kumeyaay Lake shoreline

  • A section of Oak Canyon

  • Or the historic Old Mission Dam

These interpretive nature walks are designed to enhance your appreciation of San Diego’s natural beauty. Each season brings new sights and discoveries!

🚶‍♀️ Walk Details:

  • Held every second and fourth Saturday of the month at 8:30 a.m.

  • Free and open to the public — no reservations required

  • Trails are easy but may have uneven surfaces or steps

  • Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and bring water, hat, and sunscreen

  • Walks are canceled if raining
