Join the Karen Organization of San Diego (KOSD) and your community to celebrate the most important holiday to the people of Burma, the Karen New Year. You will enjoy traditional dances and music performances from various ethnic groups from Burma, Karen culture and history presentation, and lunch with home-made Karen traditional dishes lovingly prepared by your neighbors. This will be a unique opportunity for the general public of San Diego to get a glimpse of a beautiful and little known culture that contributes to our city's diversity. We expect an audience of engaged San Diegan citizens, including refugee families from Burma resettled in San Diego. This event is free and open to the public.
