Come out and join us at Paradise Senior Center in Chicano Park for a community beautification project!
We are working on projects to enhance the Paradise Senior Center and surrounding areas, creating a welcoming, vibrant space for seniors and the community. Your participation helps support a meaningful neighborhood resource while preserving the cultural pride of Barrio Logan and Chicano Park.
History of Paradise Senior Center
The Paradise Senior Center, located in the historic Barrio Logan community near Chicano Park, opened in 1978 to provide a dedicated space for older adults in the neighborhood. The center was developed during a period of strong community advocacy following the creation of Chicano Park in 1970 — a landmark cultural space known for its vibrant murals and community activism.
Since its opening, the Paradise Senior Center has served as an important gathering place offering social connection, recreational activities, and supportive services for seniors while remaining deeply connected to the cultural heritage of Barrio Logan.
