So long, Sea Lavender

Finally, join Ranger Megan from 9am-12pm on Sunday, for So Long, Sea Lavender! Meet us at the Ballfields Trailhead (32.94119, -117.13587) by Canyonside Park for a short hike to our work site. The project focus is continuing care for our restoration site, replacing invasive Wavy Leaf Sea Lavender with native species for our pollinators. Tasks include watering recently installed plants, removing invasive species and expanding the site. Location
Ballfield Trailhead (32.94119, -117.13587) in Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve, by Canyonside Park. We’ll hike together to our project site a short ways west on the North Main Trail. Duties Include

- Planting native vegetation

- Watering installed plants

- Removing nonnative species

*Please note
- Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes, work gloves, and appropriate, comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting ripped or dirty.  
- Bring drinking water, a hat, and sunscreen as the events are held outdoors.
- Check-in is required prior to starting your duty.
- All events are scheduled to take place outdoors and may be subject to cancellation in the event of rain, excessive heat, or other adverse weather conditions.
